Almost every diver/spearfisher to this day has encountered the same problem.
The line connecting the surface marker buoy to the diver tends to get tangled in fins, equipment, or the surrounding environment. In the best case, it’s just a distraction. In a worse scenario, it can lead to a loss of control and a potentially dangerous situation.
What’s interesting is that most still accept this as something completely “normal”.
SLR25 was born precisely from these real-life situations, not as just another piece of equipment, but as a solution to a problem that has existed for decades.
A problem most spearfishers ignore
The traditional setup is based on a simple principle: a line connects the diver (spearfisher) to the surface marker buoy.
But in practice, this means:
- entanglement in fins and equipment
- drag in the water
- constant checking and adjustment
- loss of focus during the dive
In spearfishing or more demanding dives, this is far from negligible. It’s about valuable time, energy, and above all, safety.
SLR25 was created with a simple goal: to eliminate this “invisible problem”.
How SLR25 actually changes the dive
Instead of a static line, SLR25 uses an automatic retraction and release system with a braided steel line, balanced by a spring mechanism. This ensures that the spearfisher never experiences friction or snagging.
What does this mean in practice?
The surface marker buoy stays directly above the diver at all times.
No excess line. No tangling. No distractions.
The result:
- improved surface visibility
- greater sense of control and safety
- a more relaxed dive and better use of time underwater
For the first time, the diver — spearfisher — can fully focus on what truly matters: the dive itself.
Simplicity that actually works (plug & play)
One of the key ideas during development was clear: the solution had to be simple.
SLR25 is designed as a universal system that can:
- be attached without tools
- be used with different types of surface marker buoys (torpedo or classic round)
- be ready within seconds
The process is straightforward: attach the device to yourself, connect the buoy, and you’re ready to enter the water. No additional adjustments. No unnecessary complexity.
Diving/spearfishing with a “clear head” becomes a completely different experience, as experienced spearfishers can confirm.
Reliability in real conditions (not just on paper)
The marine environment doesn’t forgive mistakes.
That’s why the development relied on materials proven in marine engineering:
- UV-resistant plastics
- stainless steel mechanical components
- protection against salt, sand, and corrosion
SLR25 wasn’t tested in a lab, but in real-world conditions:
- at sea
- in high temperatures
- during prolonged dives
Despite this, maintenance remains minimal — simply rinse it in fresh water after use.
No additional servicing. No complex procedures. Just basic care, which is already standard in this sport.
What’s next for SLR25
SLR25 is not the final version; it’s the beginning of a broader story.
The vision is global: to set a new standard of safety and, with future upgrades, potentially define an entirely new product category.
The product is already quietly entering key European markets such as Croatia, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, and Turkey.
In the next phases, expansion will continue globally through distributors and online sales.
At the same time, development is already underway for:
- a lighter version for recreational users
- an advanced professional version
- a model with integrated GPS tracking
The goal is clear: to make SLR25 a standard safety solution for every spearfishing buoy, and beyond.
